Best Rechargeable Batteries I've ever used... period! Apr 13, 2009
By Frederick Dunn
"The Fellowship Of The Feather"
As a professional photographer and environmentalist, I simply have to use rechargeable batteries, or I'd be throwing out AA's in large quantity.
In the past I've been unhappy with rechargeable batteries, they eventually held less of a charge and when stored, simply ran low and failed me when I needed them most.
These are simply the best AA's that I've used. I have lots of standby equipment.. strobes, back up cameras and associated equipment. I need things to work at full power for the longest possible time. The eneloops have a long shelf life once charged and this is very helpful.
Another plus, is that with photographic equipment, I was able to take far more photos on a single charge and my off camera strobe has a much faster cycle/recovery time than expected with rechargeables.
They are heavier than copper top AA's, I actually weighed them to compare... just an interesting fact. My aux battery holder uses 8, strobe uses 5 and the MBD-10 from Nikon uses 8, so battery weight plays. But the performance has become all I care about... that, and the fact that I'm not throwing away batteries after ever big event shoot.
I also appreciated that they arrived fully charged in their pack, so opening a new pack doesn't mean waiting to charge them prior to putting them into service.
I can't vouch for how they perform in other devices, but can certainly endorse them for photography.
Long shelf life, rechargeable, top performer...
Frederick Dunn... photographer my number one choice in AA batteries.

Rechargeables That Has Shelf Life Close to Alkalines Aug 25, 2008
By Nuknuk The biggest drawback for Nickel Metal Hydride batteries is the shelf life. I got gadgets and toys all around the house, so I constantly charging batteries to have them ready when I need them. There will be very little juice left if you put them in the shelf unused for a couple of months. A waste of time and energy. Hence, one of the biggest advancement in battery technology is the arrival of the new low discharge Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. This is another great step in helping the environment. I have very few left of the old batteries since I started to replace all of them with low discharge batteries. Eneloops and Duracell are 2 of the best of its kind.
Pros: -Low discharge. -Well constructed -Conventional size and dimension. I had other batteries that I have to use a screwdriver to remove from my camera because it is fatter than other "AA's". -Looks so sleek and sexy designwise
Cons: -More expensive than ordinary NiMh -Not available at many stores -Maxes at around 2000-2100 mAh

Best NiMH Battery Out There Feb 05, 2010
By Rommel Sison I was a proponent of Energizer rechargeable batteries. However, after a few months of use, I found that these particular batteries never fully charged, would dispell their charge when not in use, and take longer to charge, thus forcing me to charge them constantly.
These Sanyo Eneloop batteries are the exact opposite. They retain their charge when not in use (I have a pair of AAs in my electric toothbrush - a relatively high-power, high-usage device). They recharge to the same capacity when I first got them (I use a La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger that displays the capacity). And the fact that they come charged right out of the package is a testament to their reliability. Most others you need to charge them when you first buy them.
I highly recommend this product to all those tired of having to buy replacement batteries for all their electronics.

Sanyo Eneloop batteries are all I use now. Rechargeable, long-lasting, a variety of sizes, just a great product. The battery charge only goes down when in use. I would & do recommend these often.

By C. McLane These batteries are great, I used them outdoors and indoors, rely on them for multi-day backpacking trips! Great portable power cell.
