Worth the Price for Just the tire gauge Mar 24, 2012

I purchased the exact same item at Costco today for $7.97. I believe it is worth 8 dollars just for the tire pressure gauge. If your worried about the batteries, take them out and place them inside your car or keep extra ones with you. The seat belt cutter would only be used in an emergency along with the window breaker. I carry a small flashlight on each door pocket in my truck and car.

Poorly engineered Mar 13, 2012
By Jim In Alaska I purchased this product at Costco today for $12.97 -- and I will be taking it back tomorrow under their satisfaction guaranteed return policy: While the concept of the tool is good, it is poorly designed. Specifically:
* The sliding switch on the back of the tool (which controls the flashlight and map light functions) easily slides back and forth from the off and on positions. Given the cloth carrying case, it would be very easy for the switch to be jiggled or bumped from the off position to the on position while it's in the glove box or elsewhere in the car -- meaning that there's a good chance that the batteries would be dead and the flashlight, map light, and tire gauge would not work when I needed it. A better engineering approach would to have the switch recessed in the tool body or use a switch which required greater effort to move from off to on positions.
* The metal tire gauge "nozzle" sticks out of the carrying case -- which means that it could scrape or damage other items in the glovebox or elsewhere.
* The LED flashlight is very weak (as in my cheap $.99 squeeze light is brighter than it is.)
Because of these problems, I didn't bother testing the functionality of the tire gauge itself, nor did I test the glass break hammer or seatbelt cutter.

By Henry Thierry Purchased exact same product at Costco for $18.99. I have not tested it yet so cannot vouch for the quality.
