These have a very realistic flicker. The batteries last about 3.5 days if left on. The batteries are easy to replace, with a slot that a dime will fit in to remove the cover. This is a lot better than those tiny little screws. The realistic wick is not (realistic that is).
These work very well inside of a frosted or colored holder. The smaller tea lights also work well if you burn down a candle far enough that the light is inside the candle. The larger votives glow along the whole length, which looks less realistic, since usually only the top lit part of a votive will glow.
My daughter made candle holders by modge podging tissue paper onto clear glass vases from the dollar store. With one of these votives dropped in, they really look stunning.

By LatnCupcake i bought these to place on my tables at our wedding reception. They stayed on aaaall night long. (11am-11:30pm) and they still turn on. I love that I can use them again and again for anything like dinners, or to just add some ambience to a room. :0)
